Members of the SCT attended a sod-turning ceremony for the new netball court at the Stanford Sports Fields yesterday.
In conjunction with the Rotary Club of Knoxville, TN, USA, and a Global Grant through the Rotary Foundation, the Rotary Club of Stanford are proud to announce Phase 3 in our Netball journey. Phase 1 was all about Peace and Conflict Resolution for our young netball players and run by Peacejam from Cape Town, Phase 2 was all about Netball Coach Training with assistance from Netball America Coaches and Phase 3 is the construction of a new dedicated Netball Court.
The ground-breaking ceremony took place on Monday 6th May where our Mayor Dudley Coetzee took up a spade and turned the soil. We were joined by representatives from the Overstrand Municipality, various organisations in Stanford as well as the Press.
